View Full Version : Question on Peace Rules
Posters ho know horses behavior - whgat do you make of PR antics after his morning workout? To me, he looked extremely sharp and full of himslef. Was this a fit horse anxious to run, or was it a hurting horse objectiong to having to work out?
I once bought a bridge in Brooklyn, so my powers of observation are suspect

IMHO Peace Rules is a big, well conditioned animal having some fun. He loves to race. I placed my eyes on him at The Blue Grass stakes in the walking ring and I was on the finish line and watched him gallop out. This horse is fit. Anyway, I think he didn't want to leave the track.
If the field I have read about shows up a week from now at CD I don't think there will be that much pace when compared to some previous years. To me there doesn't seem like there are as many of the cheap speed horses.
If that is true, Peace Rules will show up. How many times have we seen both Baffert and Lukas, in previous years, show up to a real big race and have a big horse with all the lights on it and another horse not getting the headlines. Both Charismatic and Thunder Gulch come to mind as the second horse getting the prize. (Please don't quote me) Maybe its Frankel year to fool 'em.
Maybe I'm dreaming but I hope I can get some price.

I Agree, Frankel, Lukas and Baffert have uncoupled Entries here, some things never Change. We have seen it time and time again.
The interesting lukas steed is TEN CENTS A SHINE who had his teeth filed LOL and according to Wayne he's real sharp now. I believed him with the throat operation, and saw the bullet breeze Scrimshaw worked and had him last week. BTW, I read the PRINCE will make a rear appearance derby day from saudia arabia TO WATCH EMPIRE MAKER run. Dr.John chandler the farm mgr told the prince, This is your best shot in your lifetime. His nephews both died recently from heart attacks. The former owner of War Emblem died last year and his brother 2 yrs prior I believe. I wonder if drugs were involved. 2 brothers passing in there early 40's with billions to spend on bi yearly physicals ? doesn't make sense. Looks like the Princes were having to many

Totally agree with those who read his behavior as sharp .. full of himself .. being playful. I did not see this at all as being negative.
