Chugai Pharm is the mfg of Tamiflu. Their 2008 annual report on page 3 predicted an increase in sales of 531% for Tamiflu.

It's on page 6, (http://www.chugai-pharm.co.jp/pdf/annual_report/2009/eAR2009_12_04.pdf) not page 3.
"For the year, we forcast sales of Tamiflu to reach Y53.0 billion, up 531.0%, due to expected resumption of government stockpiling in FY2009 and the ongoing recovery of the prescription rate for seasonal influenza."

I was referring to page 3 of the pdf which only has 5 pages.

It's on page 6, (http://www.chugai-pharm.co.jp/pdf/annual_report/2009/eAR2009_12_04.pdf) not page 3.

well, gov't stockpiling is a pretty dependable cash cow, isin't it ?

Especially stockpiling of a drug with an expiration date! Wish I'd thought of investing in that last year. (You know, with the $2.00 I bet on the ponies...)

Roche is the manufacturer of Tamiflu and Gilead was the inventor. Interesting how Tamiflu had not been effective in preventing many strains of flu:
