JR,

Excellent. I'm getting a new machine in a couple of days (Core i7 920 cpu. Should be FAST!) and ordered it with XP. I plan to switch to Win7 as soon as it and service pack 1 are released, skipping Vista altogether. I have some really old software that I still use and it's good to know that I'll be able to run them if I hold my mouth just right.

The compatability will not be native to Win 7. You will need an extra-cost add-on to get the XP functionality. And, it looks like it will run on Vista, too.

XP will not work with Windows 7 on all computers. If interested you can google or go to the pc magazines website.

Several chips sold in newer model pc's and laptops do not have the power or a certain feature to run the program. I think computers with AMD and Intel's core 2 duo were two of the chips that will not work.

Let me guess: you'll need the new Intel chips and MOBO.
