Thanks to everyone for their comments. We have some excellent members.

Here is an email we sent out tonight. Thanks again everyone.

We would like to take a moment to update you on a couple of things this week.

First, last week we had decided to pick Turf Paradise as this weeks race to bet into. We have been doing some good with the wager, thanks to all of you, and we thought it was a perfect time to play Turf Paradise and highlight a couple of issues. These were mainly the Arizona ADW law which makes it a felony to accept internet bets from Arizona, which some horseman, and most bettors find insulting and exactly the opposite of what we should be doing.

However, after we announced the play, members spoke loud and clear – they wanted nothing to do with Arizona as a target. The negative comments were very strong, and players cited both the Arizona Law and the high takeouts at Turf as the main reasons. So we announce we will not be playing Turf Paradise this weekend as planned.

We are happy to say that we are moving this Saturday’s race to Hawthorne Race Course – Race 6. Expect free past performances, thorograph sheets, pacefigures, and more as usual.

Last, Jeff Platt HANA President was interviewed this weekend by Todd and Matt on TVG while at Keeneland. We have the video for those who missed it on the blog here.

As always, thanks very much for your support.

Your HANA Team: Jeff, Dean, Bill, Theresia and John

Choosing them, and then having to change due to widespread player disgust probably highlights the issues at hand better than anything else could have -- it's certainly ends up being a stronger message than just not selecting them in the first place. It makes for a fairly compelling story. Maybe Paulick could pick it up.

Excellent decision! Good display of flexibility by HANA leadership and, as chick said, an opportunity for greater positive exposure.

When I saw the higher-ups at HANA had picked TuP, my first thought was that they are now qualified to become racetrack executives.

The#10 Happy Henrietta runs sharp off extended layoffs alsoRichie, I will be all over Cumulonimble as well. Also #2 Miss Fontana could come up big off the layoff for Divito. Won her debut and working quite well.

Jeff, excellent job during the TVG interview. Not every one could speak in a relaxed manner, keeping on point without going overboard. You represented both yourself and HANA is a highly professional manner.

We have to meet up someday so I can trade you some of Aunt Rosie's homemade lasagna and Barolo for your sweet muffins and moonshine.

Keep rocking G! :)

This is a nice little betting race, full field of 11 and no scratches (at least as of the first Changes list posted on the Hawthorne site) and there are a lot of different ways you can go here. I ended up not using the horses coming off layoff with the exception of #2. I don't have a very strong opinion about this race and as such in the end was only able to pair it down to 5 horses, :1: :2: :3: :6: :7: . Normally I would take a pass since I don't have even close to a strong opinion but since I am playing the basic strategy is to throw a cast wide net and hope to snag some prices. The bets I have already placed since I don't know if I will be on a computer at racetime are as follows:

$1 Exacta Box :1: :2: :3: :6: :7: = $20

$1 Trifecta Box :1: :3: :6: :7: =$24

Dime Super Box :1: :2: :3: :6: :7: = $12

Total Bet = $56

If I had to select only one horse to win it would be :7: Bow Tie Pasta.

Good Luck Everybody!

if they throw out the second, third, fourth and fifth place finishers I have this superfecta!

Man, wild angle on the head on there with the outrider trying to catch the nine horse. No dice, not even close. Poor outriding horse cant go like them.
