Can somebody give me a second on the DRF dropping their registration requirement to just read the front page stories..............?

Several other big websites have dropped the registration requirements. Why not DRF? It can't mean that much to them? Can it?

I hit Equidaily and Paulick Report at least a couple times a week. I hit the Espn Racing section less often (Cronley is all I care about on ESPN) but whenever I catch a link from one of the above to DRF.........90% of the time I am prompted for a password etc........... and I just cancel the page

Listen.........DRF.......

I have about 10 computers in my life and I have given up on keeping my cookies straight on every machine. I used to spend 20 bucks a month on Itunes and when I bought a new laptop a while back and Itunes decided I had too many computers with their software on it..........and wanted me to do the de-registration dance........ they lost a customer. Amazon.com sells the music for the same price and it's in a better format. Sayonara Itunes.

I rarely buy a DRF but they are stopping me from reading their online advertising or even being exposed to it............Can it really mean that much?
Come on DRF............stop making me dance to read your online site.

I agree Ralph...When ever there is a link to that site..I click it and it takes me to the sign in page. I'm like Cmon..I don't sign in and I close the page..I have a log in name somewhere but don't use it and have no reason to use it..

Email customer service. They're actually very responsive and do want to know about problems.

I've never emailed them about a form I bought at a store. When I have problems on line they will usually credit my account.

Maybe it's an sign that I should pass tomorrow! Then again maybe if I pass I would have won.

What should I do Mike? Pass or Play?

Go online and download the missing PPs, then study them intently and bet your brains out.

I said 'So Long' to the DRF as soon as they required registration. Their policy offers no prospects for long term solvency.

In twenty years when we are all dead, there will be zero customers. The DRF will cease to exist as American Jobs have eroded.

I am practicing my lines for the new job:

Is that for here or to go?
Regular or Unleaded?
Do you want Fries with that?

JustRalph, this may not qualify as great news but I go to Jay Cronley first at ESPN's racing website.

As I clean out my cookies every so often ( call me paranoid, but I don't want websites knowing where I go on the net. And it's not to look at porn. ) So it's a pain to have to sign in to only READ the main stories. ( Not the pay stuff ). I understand their thinking- that MAYBE someone reading the stories will get interested & buy some of their products since they're already signed in, but..........
Have to register to get RESULTS OR CHARTS ? Oy vey...........

The internet is not an easy place to make money. I don’t mind the requirement of the free subscription, although I think requesting handle info hurts them rather than helps them. Even if one deletes cookies, one could always let windows remember the login id and password. One only has a problem if one is not using one’s own machine, e.g., at work. I think it’s only a matter of time before the charts become part of the DRF Plus package.

I was sorry to see basic PP prices rise without any value being added. The expected BSR for each race should be included as well as the offset from that rating for the winner in each PP race line. Now that suspicion surrounds BSRs concerning the TOFP and GP 1-1/8 m fiascos – as well as the synthetic/dirt variances -- they may have to. The Morning Line in the PPs doesn’t always appear for each track, even when it’s available in the entries.

I wonder how many old cyberfarts like me would leave the game if the DRF went out of business.

calracing.co is the worst when it comes to phishing for info. they want your name and address to view streaming video for some california tracks.
