I am thinking about placing a nice bet on Hull. Think he has a chance?

12 post is tough and pretty lightly raced. I'm thinking of using Brave Victory the 4 horse who has some good numbers and closes well. 6/1 ml i think.

Hull -- don't be surprised if he is scratched due to that far outside post.

Square Eddie is probably the best horse in this field but how can you get behind him coming off the injury and when he's the chalk? I'm looking at #1 Jeranimo.

Here's my only play for the day. I don't like Keeneland but think Square Eddie has as good a chance to miss the board as he does to win so here it is:

2,8,10
1,2,8,10,11
1,2,6,7,8,9,10,11

If Eddie misses it should be huge:)

El Crespo will be my key --- and blending in Jeranimo, Conservative, and Square Eddie.

I suspect you guys all know the results by now...Square Eddie fans don't feel bad...the horse was bound to tire after the layoff...but man, when he made that move...I thought...holymoly...he's gonna win this despite the lay off...ohwell...
Pletcher/Gomez won with Advice.
SE will go on to the Derby, no doubt...

Thanks for the video, Watcher...in case you don't know yet...the claim of foul was not allowed.
Advice has plenty enough earnings...wonder if he'll be in the gate 5/2...
I swear, it's a good thing they decided 20 entries was enough for the Derby...we sure have a bunch of 'em!!

Hank had it, we should all hang our heads in shame. But I couldn't bet that horse with your money. JV takes off the horse after going to Sunland to ride him. Gomez picks up the mount, they take the blinkers off and change the bit and he flies home. JV on the 4 for Zito does nada taking off His main mans winner. When does a Pletcher trained horse pay $33. in a stakes and pletcher is back in florida supervising Dunkirks work. I guess if Gomez takes Dunkirk tomorrow for the Derby .............all is well.

Cant complain about Square Eddie's performance today off layoff. IMHO it was a breathtaking move there at the end. He has the confidence to pull off a big race.

May have been too much off layoff to go to derby so soon?

You were not alone BigNick63, I was really expecting a forward move from Jeranimo as well. He was further back then I had anticipated. I guess that didn't mean much because the winner was dead freakin' last in the earlier stages. Right now the race isn't making much sense to me so I'm going to have a couple of drinks, go to bed, and look at the race again in the morning and see where I went completely off the beam.

Classic bid, hung move. Will 2 weeks be enough time for him to recover?
And will like dirt?

Yeah...that move was really something...Tom mentions maybe 2 weeks til Derby isn't enough time...but, IMHO...I think he'll be fine...just needs some long, strong gallops and a couple of good works...again..IMHO:)

Maybe wiser heads will prevail and they will go in the preakness instead ? really asking alot after the injury layoff of 3 monthes and then race twice in two weeks and the 1 1/4 . Not exactlly what a trainer would plan out and rarely tried and even rarer successful. Was a nice move on the turn though but caught with the short stretch run of 1 1/16 not the long CD stretch and 3/16s more.

Exactly. If Sq Eddie runs in the Derby he has no chance to hit the board. The field today was not even close to what he will see the first Saturday in May.

I think that Pletcher horse looked pretty damn nice winning this race

everybody is talking about square edward.......... but the Pletcher pony looked very very good if you ask me.......and a mile and quarter looked right up his alley too............peaking at the right time.........etc.........

but, was it the surface?
