I've already hit the 6 to win in the 2nd and played a 3/2-6 exacta in the 3d, so the chances of 3 in row are slim...that said, I'll try anyway. I'm looking for a big effort from #3 Esther's Star. This is a wretched field, and this horse is definitely competitive with my numbers. Expecting some improvement with the usual maturity between 2 and 3yo seasons. Worth a shot at the expected 30-1 or so, WP bet.

Horse got the heart beating fast at 60-1 turning for home, too bad she couldn't run straight! 4th beaten about 3.5 lengths.

One more for today, must go back to work, rats!

6th race, I like #6 Hourly Storm. This horse was claimed two back and improved his figure nicely despite a rough trip. Not a lot of pace for this presser type, should lay close and get the jump on the favorites.

Played those bums I touted today and caught some exacta's.
Treaded water at AQUE, and then the late scratch happened
with 2 mins to post in the 9th. Knock again was A very late scratch
I had COKE'S TRIBUTE HOOKED WITH THE KNOCKSTER AND OTHERS. I immediately called my O.T.B acct and starting keying COKE'S TRIBUITE stronger, cause KNOCK AGAIN was out.
With 1 minute to post the COKESTER was the favorite, and
thought the pik 4 players would get him, and I wasn't so thrilled.
All the late money came pouring in on CAJUN Concert, and he was the favorite. I hit the exacta STRONG ! with Bianco Appeal who
was a generous price in the place spot. Anyone alive in the pik 4's
with the late scratch, probably assumed They had the pik 4. Only
to be quite distressed when the board indicated CAJUN CONCERT
WAS THE RACE OFF FAVORITE.......I benefitted this time, but
this late scratch scenario with minutes to go, has big time
ramifications in my mind. I often notice it happening more with Calif tracks. Anyway, when a steed scratches late, the race complexion changes, and can affect the outcome. Another wonderful thing about this great game........
