You'd think that Yum! Brands, NBC and NTRA could combine to help promote the sport and the Derby through Yum!'s restaurants...

For example, you buy a meal and you receive a card that has a Derby fact on it, when the Derby runs, and a horse's #. If that number wins the Derby, it's worth a free combo meal.

That is an excellent idea; you should be a VP of Marketing for one of these companies.http://paceadvantage.com/forum/images/UBGX/I9.gif

Churchill sure can't do it either, so far this year their big marketing tool to promote the Derby is to sell a "Derby Barbie Doll"...oy vey.

How about using your same card concept, but it has something with a string of numbers that is the official order of finish, and if all 20 (or however many run) finish in that exact order, you get some huge payday like $5 mil...they could buy an insurance policy on it that wouldn't cost much.

Or maybe every card could have a trifecta or superfecta payoff on it, and if you got an exact match you were a winner.

That would be too easy for the suits to figure out. They want tough projects
and lots of presentations to justify their Salary.

So when PETA protests racing at KFC, Pizza Hut, or Cola distributors, should they wear the usual chicken outfits, or horsie suits?

A mixture would probably yield the best press attention. Lots of fake blood as well.

Might be an easier position for a recent college graduate to get than one in finance right now...
