Obama is finding out that Bush's way was the best way. Everybody jumped on Bush's ass, but I bet Obama gets a pass. ......."i made a rhyme!" :D

Where is the outrage?
Where is the whining about loss of our rights we heard so often?

The silence is deafening.
And expected.

It was never about loss of freedom, it was always only about Bush.

Finally, something I can agree with the President on....

But yeah, it mostly was ALWAYS about Bush, and not about what was being said and done.

I'll come out and say it....

Bush was 100% wrong for the implementation of this policy.

Obama is 150% wrong for continuance of it.

SHUT THE BORDERS... get a grasp on who is here stop ALL immigration and you wont have to wiretap without a court order.

Mark my words... down the road it will come out that these secret wiretaps were used as a rouse to violate the privacy of Americans who might be thought of as involved in illegal activity, (like organized crime) but NOT terrorism.

And some here cry about socialism...ouch.

Odds Bush would have done that - 25%
Odds Obama WILL do it for political reasons......200%
He will insulate himself by assigning that task to ACORN.

It is extremely telling that now that BO is in power and understands as an insider why certain things are done and the necessity for same, that his position on this matter is 180* from 3 months ago.

It's worse than even what you post here.

Fools and simpletons actually believe that it's about Bush or bama either one.

It's not on this stuff, neither of them understand it and only know what they are told.

They are told by the same power base(gvt lawyers) that is essentially the same on either side what the options are and from those they will pick the least bad as they see it.

Well, when the options are the same you get the least bad and that's what we get , we think at the time.

I have one question since the holy grail of intell seems to be layed out in the doc linked(nobody questioned it) , when the current stooge flatly states that there is no dragnet type operation going on, with what does he back that up ?

And , if that's true , then how is it that vital since we are not dragging the net to catch them all?

Most in this thread seem ok , as long as their political point has been made to "just shuffle along".

Amazing, the childlike trust in this type of world.

Trust me , I'm from the gvt and I am here to help!!!

tito mao stalin hitler castro pol pot you name it , they all had "insiders" who understood what must be done and they did it.

odds it was done under bush +100%
odds it is being done under bama +100%
odds either of them actually know what is being done 50-50.

odds either of them were much more than step and fetch its -100%.

I am disgusted with Obama's decision, Tom. I find it depressing and totally wrong. Like DDog said, if they refuse to provide proof that they are not doing surveillance on innocent Americans, why should I believe them?
