He looked great today....I need to look up his pedigree....but I don't think he has much of a shot in the Derby.

"Visually," he looked great, but that field was light years away from the Derby field. I don't think there was another stakes winner in the whole bunch.

Might having run down Hawthorne's 1,320-ft. stretch be a nice thing to have going into the Derby?

This horse is a likely also ran for the Derby. That said, he has absolutely earned his spot there and should race in it. After al, you never know foor sure in this game. Afterwards though, he looks the perfect horse to take out several of those second tier Derbys around the country, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kent (? the 3yo one in Delaware). A path like that will pick him up some wins and some big $ over the summer like what Pollard's Vision did a couple years ago.
