Renaming Files

I want to rename my old OSA files to SAX (to do some database stuff). Is there an easier way than renaming them 1 by 1?

Just Google "batch file rename" and you will get a million programs to choose from. I can't recommend one as I have a built-in renamer in my file manager program so I don't need another program to do that. Just find one or two that are free (not free trials) and see which one you like.

If you own Vista, just make sure the program runs with that OS.

you didn't need a fancy smancy program


you could have put them all in the same folder

opened a dos window by typing "command" on the run line

switched to the directory they were in and typed


ren osx.* sax.*

i think that would have worked

just for fun................
