The HorseStreet Pars are the standard of the industry for accuracy and reliability.
Last year we added a feature called the Speed Reliability Index. This new metric measures the reliability of the pars at each track.
Why are the pars more productive at some tracks than others? That is a good question. In some cases it is because the pars need improvement but more often it is because the horses simply do not run as true to recent form as at other tracks.
I must admit, however, that as I made the pars last year I paid special attention to the "problem" tracks. As a result, many of them improved. Some are still way below (by as much as two standard deviations) the norm.
The 2009 HorseStreet Pars will begin shipping Tuesday, March 24th.
