My soft wager in the first, Val's Gold, won and paid $10.60.
My soft wager in the second, Metro System, won and paid $4.20 and my $2 DD returned $22.40.
My soft wager in the 10th, Master Speak, settled for 3rd money.

1st Contenders Only Free Light (2) made a slow gain in last and stretches out another panel today for Griffith, who wins 27% (59% ITM) on the stretchout. Griffith/Montalvo team are 54% ITM. Five Star Sweetie (4) and Aliens Last Strike (9) hit the wire ½ a length apart in last. Alien figures to have the jump on Five Star Sweetie again this afternoon. All three were above par last time out. Exacta Box 2,4,9 and Trifectas 2,4,9/1,5/2,4,9
2nd Contenders Only Star Trader (4) was closest to par in last and goes for Tom Proctor who wins 33% (50%) ITM with No Change types. Algazara (3) is off solid maiden victory, but McCarthy wins rightback only 9% of the time. Stormy Cs (1) is 9-16 ITM lifetime. Win (4), Saver Exactas 1,3/4 and Trifectas 4/6,8/1,3,6,8
3rd Contenders Only Now and Forever (4) was above par in both starts and goes for Tampa veteran Graham Motion. Jeremy Rose (who won 23% of his mounts in 2008) has the call. State Treasure (6) goes for Zweiesler who has had some success with Turf-to-Dirt moves. State Treasure had two magnificent workouts in the last couple of weeks and is ready. 4th Contenders Only Nite in Rome (9) was above par in 7 of last 10, including last race. Zwiesler wins 35% (57% ITM) with L1-3s. Zwiesler/Montalvo team is 60% ITM. 6th Contenders Only Therecomesthetiger (7) was closest to par with a 96 in a par 101 in last. Comes off two month layoff and Proctor wins 27% (53% ITM) with L1-3s. Tiger has two wins and two seconds in seven starts at Tampa. Exacta Key Box 7/1,4,8 and Trifectas 6/7/1,4,8

9th Contenders Only Ameribelle (4) rushed up to gain good position from PP7, was covered up on the rail throughout, burst through a seam leaving the far turn, got the lead and just hung, settling for 2nd in last. Better trip yields better results this afternoon. See R8 DD and Saver Exactas 2,6/4
10th Contenders Only Exacta Key 7/6,8,9 and Trifectas 7/2/6,8,9

12th - Contenders Only Chamberlain Bridge (6) is 8-15 lifetime with monstrous win in last. Has a great trainer in Calhoun (26%) and a great rider in Jeremy Rose (23%). Looks like a winning combination to me. Exacta Key Box 6/1,7
13th Contenders Only Later Gator (10) had 11.60 final fraction in last (the best in todays field) and is on the dropdown for 26% turf trainer George Handy. Lucky Leo (5) stopped inexplicably in last, and has earned another chance here. Win (10), Saver Exactas 5,6,7/10 and Trifectas 5,10/1,3,14/5,6,7
