Now that Winning Ponies is back I went to their website and redboarded some of their picks, looks good. Can anyone who has used Winning Ponies tell me what they think oh them? I've never heard of them until now,

If a 10 cent super was the only hit; then they have no control over the payout that is posted on the results chart and they had the right horses. Am I correct?

I will give them credit for reporting the correct pool size if you click through.

That $35,493 Super Payoff must have been for a $2 payoff. With a pool of only $2,355, that's way too high for even a $1 scale, as a 10 cent super on a $1 payoff would have been $3,493, still higher than the pool size. So that payoff must be based on a $2 bet, so that 10 cent super, the same if the sole winning bettor had 10 cents or $2 and been the only one, was roughly $1,746.50.

Yeah, they hit it. Nice, but frankly BFD. Selecting many tracks, one should a few $1,746.50 Superfectas from time to time, maybe not every day, and sometimes two or more a day. Congratulations are certainly in order when one hits a selection and the bettor actually gets $35,493. $1,746.50? Congrats to the fan, but not to the selection service, if the fan was even one that used it.

When people get wise to the unwarranted bravado on the payoffs, they may have second thoughts about those making such claims. Best to actually monitor & follow up on what one does when claiming great successes. Otherwise embarassements like this happen.

Their 3 top row claims to big payoffs are
Will Rogers Downs
R3. $35.000 Super consisted of 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 8th picks.

Will Rogers Downs
R5. $35.000 Super consisted of 2nd, 1st, 7th & 6th picks.

Penn National
R4. $13.000 super consisted of 1st, 3rd, 5th & 8th picks.

They pick almost every race at every track, so you do the math.

So all you'd have to do is go 8 deep in order to get them? Wow...

The results chart might say this, but they an option on what they put on their website.

The sooner a new or inexperienced player realizes that he must do the work for himself the better off he will be. Please: just learn the game. The more you understand what is going on the more you will get out of it.

yeah, and right after the horseplayers get it, maybe we can start trying to educate the "investors".

One thing is true , there is always a greater fool, you just have to keep the line in the water.

A computer program probably tracks results for them. If so, then just make a change in the program to look at the pool size as well as the results.

That is soo true----The greatest joy I have is learning this game----The nuances etc-----I am often amazed and quited by most of you----What you see know-----Damn--This game comes alive when the understanding of it grows-

Understood when playing with money, losses and BS can and will make some hearts grow bitter-----

There I have the game beat!! --I pretty much lost everything I value---So I learned not to be so bitter about that-----So whats a bad ride- a bad photo--Spot--etc-------Whats a few bucks------Trade that for the love of the game---The lust for more knowledge about the game---Any day...

Me I am just bitter a little under 20 years active on the force and I still write shtty.......Its ez to see why I never passed the pay grade of senior line officer BUD....

Now I got the canes the chair to prove my status as sr handicapper---Sr in the wrong wat tho.

ok not funny-----blame the drugs-----not the poster...
