cmoore, thanks so much for responding. Otherwise, I would not have known it was "just me". :)

Weirdest thing, I could surf the internet and get to EVERY other site on the internet, expcept Twinspires.

Called tech support over there. It appears that the tech guy had the EXACT same IBM laptop as I do, and there was recently a driver update that messed up certain IBM model laptops by interferring with another adaptor. So, we rolled back the driver to previous version, flushed the DNS, and it's all good now.

What is the odds that *one* driver for only a certain group of IMB model laptops would be bad, and intereferring with my ability to get somewhere? And if the tech guy hadn't had the same problem himself I would still be sittin' here going D'OH!
