dos

i don't know if this is right place for this question?
i have an hp -xp computer and i cannot get any dos
programs to work on it. does anyone know how to get it
to work or will xp not allow dos programs?

You might also go to http://www.vmware.com/download/server/ and download the free Server product. I would suggest version 1.0.8. This will allow to create a DOS virtual machine to run your programs. You will however need the DOS installation disks to do the installation. This will give you a true DOS environment to work in.
