Coupled entries get my knickers all twisted up. If you have 2 runners that are in the same entry and they finish first and second, is there no exacta paid out? Does the exacta pool for that race go into a carryover?

At one time, in Canada you could bet on both halves of the entry to finish 1-2 by betting the exacta combination "1-1" (and it didn't matter which one finished 1st and which one was second).
Not sure if this still exists or not.
