The [Obama] budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, adding more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined.

Just imagine what he might add to that in the coming 4 years .

i was talking to a guy the other day and he said something about 8 years. If the republicans can put up a good candidate against him in 2012 you'd think they would win, but they said the same thing about bush and then john kerry showed up.

Of course if he continues to sign on to this path of economic destruction , his own party could oust him in favor of another candidate . Being president doesn't insure his nomination . I'm sure I'm getting way ahead of myself here , and the carnage hasn't fully developed , but if the trend continues it wouldn't surprise me .

Unless you count Lyndon Johnson's abortive attempt at renomination before he withdrew in 1968, and the same with Harry Truman in 1952, I believe that the last time an incumbent who was actively trying to be renominated failed to do so was Chester Arthur in 1884. Before that it was Franklin Pierce in 1856.

The party no longer does the nominating. He will run in the primary if any dem chooses to run against him and the dem voters; i.e. the people will decide.
It doesn't have to be 4 yrs of this nonsense. We can stopgap him just like we did Clinton by retaking the House.

OHHHHHH!!!

IL is one of the states with open primaries, you don't have to register with a party, you get to pick which party's ballot you want when you go to the poll.
