"...which have not won either $3,000 other than maiden, claiming, or starter or which have never won two races.
Bafferta-won 4 races, a maiden, two claimers, and an allowance race with a purse the same as today's.
Social Belle also won an allowance already. How do they get into this race?

In California, when you win a nw2 Cal-bred race, it doesn't count, but only for the "Open" nw2 conditions. Bafferta's March 8 win was a Cal-bred nw2, as was Social Belle's win last August 5.
