He had a boil on his ass.

Yep. More specifically, it was a polinidal cyst. I know from personal experience it takes one week and you are good as new.

"Dear Rush,

Thanks for all you're doing to promote Republican and conservative principles. Now that I've retired from active politics, I don't mind that you have become the Number One voice for conservatism in our Country.

I know the liberals call you "the most dangerous man in America," but don't worry about it, they used to say the same thing about me. Keep up the good work. America needs to hear the way things ought to be."

Sincerely, Ron"

1992 letter to Rush Limbaugh from Ronald Reagan

Really, Bubba, no one here doubts how childish you can be. You don't have to to prove it every day.

I guess this should be expected, though, when you have nothing of substance to offer. Nya nya nya nya is always a good Plan B.

How do you suppose this relates to Limbaugh dodging the draft?

Guilty conscience, perhaps.

His money is still green. They'll take it any way they can get it.

If bullets are flying they are look for someone else to do the fighting, while they stand on the sidelines and call everybody names.

Thanks so much for getting it back on track. I appreciate the interest.

I'm sure you already know the answer to the question:

Questioner: Why did you not go into the draft and Viet Nam?

Limbaugh: I did not want to go.

Pretty basic and interesting stuff, no? Sorry, but I'm not going to fawn over this guy as a heroic leader of the party whose candidate I may well vote for next election.

In my family, draft-dodgers are considered cowards. Not heros. Just because he utters a popular mantra does not make him anything other than what he is.

Among other things, he's an insult to every veteran who ever lived.

It is interesting that the list of Republican politicians who blow hard on going to war are simply never to be seen fighting them.

Many more Democrats have served.

Of course, with Limbaugh, it's exactly what you expect. Always railing daily against the bogeymen of the left, always positioning himself in favour of the good war cause & America- as long as he didn't have to serve it & the country.

What great stones the Neo-Con messiah has !

maybe he was a coward. thousands were. he's a radio broadcaster not the president, so go ahead and wag your finger of shame at him all you want. you still don't get it, he's NOT a heroic leader of the Republican party. where do you get this stuff?

PS: he's loved by military personnel, they can't get enough of him. and his military charity work is one of a kind. If you polled military personnel as to who they admire, Obama or Limbaugh, it would be 20 to 1 Limbaugh.

your man, who IS the commander-in-chief is the one despised by the military, who lied about his relationship with a terrorist, and who wanted to surrender and run away from Iraq defeated in 2006, who couldn't be bothered to put his hand over his heart or wear a flag pin in 2006. If you're looking for a disgraceful insult to all the brave folks that served in that war, look no farther.

don't bring up the draft records of radio broadcasters as straw men to deflect attention from our embarrasing president.

I don't know that House breakdown, but in the Senate your assertion of "many more" is completely false. There are 26 veterans in the Senate. 14 D, 12 R. The Dems control 60% of the Senate. 53% of the vets are Dems. Make what you want of the numbers, but at least regarding the Senate, your statement is factually wrong. I'll see if I can find some numbers on the house.

Governors:

I believe Dems control more than 50% of governorships, but I could be wrong.

lsbets
03-05-2009, 07:24 PM
House:

48 Rep veterans
43 Dem veterans

Dems control way more than 50% of the house.

When you combine Senate, House, and Governors, more Republican veterans are in office than Dem veterans.

You assertions Rookies was completely incorrect, and would appear to be based on nothing more than the script of a Michael Moore "documentary".

As far as I am concerned, its a pretty even breakdown, I just don't like silly assertions based on fantasies when the facts are pretty easy to find in a matter of minutes.

Isbets: No, based on a prior chart I'd seen during the Bush years of his cabinet and prominent members of the House & Senate.

Obviously, this breakdown has been eclipsed by the present composition, something I should have checked before posting.

When I'm incorrect, I'm happy to say so.

I had a pilonidal cyst removed when I was 19. They are not fun. They hurt like hell when they flare up/get infected. When they do they cannot be operated on and you have to wait for the infection to clear before they open you up.

WHen they do it hurts like hell because they are cutting open the derrier which has some of hte most sensitive tissue. When I had mine, it literally felt like a meat cleaver buried in my butt cheek even though the incision was maybe an inch deep. It hurt for quite some time I think I did 4 or 5 days in hospital.

Then it turned out the operation didnt work and it did not heal right. A friend of mine was going to med school and actually found that Monsell's salt solution could help that. This was a salt used to stop bleeding in the nose. It actually worked after about 3 months of packing the would with this stuff.

If we hadnt figured that out, I might have had to go back to another doctor. THe research my friend did found they do have a fairly high re occurence rate after the operation, cant recall the fig. maybe 10%.

So these pilonidal cysts are both literally and figuratively a pain in the ass. Mine was a nightmare....

Bubba,

Yes, he had a boil on his ass. And yet he called Kerry the phony in 04. Limpballs is what is called a chickenhawk. A guy who is a cheerleader on the sidelines for war, but always seems to find his own way out if it. Cheney was another chickenhawk in that regard. Did Clinton do the same? Sure, only difference is he wasn't always looking for a fight to send other people's children.

Limpballs has always lacked integrity and relies on dittoheads to parrot his pronouncements which they in fact do.

But take heart, the fact that he is now the spokeman for the Republican Party is a godsend for us.

I see this recession has taken its toll on you financially. You're, evidently, no longer in the position to go out and buy a clue because you can't afford one. (I guess your BO hasn't stimulated you enough?) But try standing on street corners begging for one with a tin cup in your hand. Someone may take pity on your ignorance and make a donation by informing you that El Rushbo is far more the "spokeman" (sic) for Conservatives before he is for the Party of Stupid. Even he knows the party has become infiltrated with far too many RINOS (DimWits in sheep's clothing). And there's nothing more loathsome to a true conservative than to have a liberal masquerading as a conservative.

Not a spokesman, not some lackey in Hawaii, but BO.

If my employer required me to present a birth certificate for whatever reason he would have mine in his hand the next day. Why is that so difficult for BO to do and such a stumbling block for you ?
