I was reading the NY Post today and caught the story of the bouncer that was fatally stabbed after trying to enforce the smoking ban on a customer.

Ok, here's the kicker.. the relatives of the bouncer blamed the mayor for the death, since he was adament about the ban.

So let's not blame the raving lunatic that stabbed the guy, lets blame the mayor for approving the law.. Makes sense.

The disturbing part is, they might win it.

Then they will probably try to sue the tobacco companies.

I can hear it now. "If they didn't make cigarettes there would be no need for a ban and therefore there would have been no killing".

i hate this nyc smoking ban even though i don't smoke. And
that bar guernica in alphabet city is a dump & the post called
it upscale ... hehe .... that bouncer shoulda just said "hey smoke"
& he would still be alive. Or, just walk ovr to the guy & render
him unconscious by smashing his trachea. no instead he hadda
be some gentle ben & see what that ploy got him.
