View Full Version : Late odds-drop even at Santa Anita?

I was surprised by two late-odds drops last week at Santa Anita, the largest from 11-1 to 7-1, either in the last seconds before the race closed or after the ADR money came in. I haven't played SA much, but am playing there more lately and am surprised to see the kind of big drops I expect at smaller tracks. How common is this?

one question................did the horse win?
When you are on the right one, or on a horse going off at good odds and the horse has a good shot..............
This happens often in Socal............

JustRalph,
Both horses won...why else would I care :-). Since I play mainly longer-odds horses this isn't as much of a problem for me as it might be for others, but still, there are horses I'd play at 7-1 and not 3-1. What you say seems to imply that the late ADR money is pretty sharp.
Thanks for your help.

Sorry to hear this. I'll just have to be more careful.
