This website is not affiliated with the Hollywood Park Racetrack website, even though they lifted their logo. Check out these tidbits from their FAQ's:

4. Is the race track closing and, if so, why? Yes, the Hollywood Park Tomorrow plan will replace the race track. Unfortunately, declining attendance and dwindling purses – in addition to competing gaming opportunities – have seriously impacted the viability of horse racing, not only in Inglewood but throughout California. We expect thoroughbred horse racing to continue at Hollywood Park in the 2009 season.

and this one:

11. When will you break ground?

First, the project needs to be approved by the Inglewood Planning Commission and City Council. We anticipate the proposed project will be considered for approval in the first part of 2009. Plans call for a phased development, beginning with the retail district, Lake Park and the residential district adjacent to the retail area. We expect full build-out to take between 5-8 years from the time construction begins.

5-8 years? And I thought our gov't stimulus plan was gonna be slow.

They were laughing on the so.cal. radio programs this morning.
No way will anyone be able to build this, anytime in the near future for sure.
I doubt you could get a loan to build an outhouse on that property.
This is just "consultants" work. Making money off the property owners, make that desperate property owners!!!!! :bang:
