he is right on, but this country is well on its way to nationalised banks and socialism.

they needed to elect a different leader to break that path.

My brother was watching CNBC when this went down. He was so taken by the semi-impromtuness of it he called me about it.

There's little that Rick and Steve miss. It was a back handed complement when the Frontline program that aired earlier this week laid the beginning of the end last year at the feet of CNBC.

I hope to God the Fairness doctrine does not apply to CNBC.

this home bail out deal is one of the biggest piles of crap i have seen in the last day anyway!

now we are going to front fannie/freddie MORE cash to give out to more deadbeats so that the banksters/crooks that hooked the idiots into these deals don't get hurt too badly and then on top of that if when the loans get re-done and we chip in with some extra cash to help the banksters/crooks cram them down to 31% or whatever the borrower/deadbeat can pay at the time, THEN - THEN we are going to fork over a 1,000 or 1,500 success fee to all of them as long as the borrower/deadbeat can make the subsidized payments to support the bankster/crooks that helped setup the whole scam.

Indeed, count me in on that , should work like a freakin CHARM!!!!

What a bunch of nits and fools.

THis place is a dump and a fraud.

Hell, the founders would be in the woods with rifles if they were still alive.

My message to those in a house that know in their heart-of-heart they should not be in that house, be patriotic, learn to rent.

Robert Reich on Kudlow's program said the mortgage bail out plan is an insurance policy and it is needed b/c the people needing the mortgage aid are in trouble due to unemployment.

What a hugh pile of steaming bull puckey.

just the latest version of wealth transfer from the responsible producers to the irresponsible takers of our society, designed and brought to you by the brilliant social engineers and crooks in Washington.

Santelli was at it again today. Very refreshing to hear honesty on TV.

I wonder what Obama's approval ratings are now, after the homeowner bailout.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs held little back when responding to a question by CBS News’ Chip Reid about CNBC reporter Rick Santelli’s rant about the housing bill from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday.

“I also think that it’s tremendously important that for people who rant on cable television – to be responsible and understand what it is they’re talking about. I feel assured that Mr. Santelli doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Gibbs said during the daily White House briefing for reporters, CBS News’ Mark Knoller reports.

The White House press secretary did not stop there. Knoller reports that Gibbs went on to criticize the objectivity of cable news reporting.

“If I hadn’t worked on the campaign but simply watced the cable news scorekeeping of the campaign – we lost virtually every day of the race....” he said.

Added Gibbs: “If I would have just watched Cable TV – I long would have crawled into a hole and given up this whole prospect of changing the country.”

Changing the country in what direction is the question!

Gibbs is as dumb as they come, he has to be the worst spokesman that I've ever seen put out there by a president.

Added Gibbs: “If I would have just watched Cable TV – I long would have crawled into a hole and given up this whole prospect of changing the country.” Where can I get his Cable TV? The kind that doesn't broadcast MSNBC, ABC, CBS or NBC?

Seriously, WHAT?

oh what I would pay to see a US senator rip up Obama's plans right on the senate floor!

the truth is that is what the opposition should have been doing all along.

i hope that catches on, and every time they appear on TV to debate the issue, part of the debate involves holding up the plan and ripping it to pieces.

i know its symbolic, kinda like shoe throwing! but I like it.

Good cartoon in the Post today.....left panel shows a couple signing a mortgage and saying "We didn't read it, but what could go wrong?"
The right panel showed Nancy and Dingy Harry signing the porkulus bill and saying "We didn't read it, but what could go wrong."

Funny how Obama and the congress are doing exactly what got us into the mess in the first place - signing stuff not knowing what is in it and spending way more than they can afford. Somehow, these mental giants think what caused this will solve it. When you think about it, pretty damned stupid course of action.

Rick is suppose to be on Hannity's radio program today. Maybe he'll be a part of the freedom tour this year.
