One can't help but wonder what Joe's next bright idea will be. I'm sure it will once again involve everyone's wallet except his own.

So, lets see if I understand this correctly ..... the extra takeout imposed by the State of Maryland several years ago was to help improve Laurel and Pimlico, but the improvements never took place, so the extra takeout went to the tracks, which used it to increase purses. This week, one house of the state legislature failed to vote on reducing the takeout, soooooo, the extra takeout will stop going into purse increases, will not go into the improvements for which they were intended at Laurel and Pimlico, but WILL go into the state's general fund, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!!

My friend John Weakland once said "all politicans are pigs!" Personally, I find that degrading to pigs.
