Could the madison ave guys possibly stick to people today? Animals just don't get my attention or entertain me. Let me put it this way. Love the cavemen, hate the lizard. And I suspect others share my attitude. Do cutesy animal commercials REALLY amuse people as much as advertisers seem to think ?

I've always enjoyed the Budweiser Clydesdales commercials myself.

Those could be my sole exception. The wintertime ad with the clydes pulling that carriage at dusk to a warm, well-lit house is awesome.

Find the lizard neutral or amusing and the cavemen ridiculously stupid. I'm sure others do share your attitude, but there are obviously many different strokes in this world.

Same here ... was cute at first but they've run it into the ground . Beleive the television sitcom surrounding the caveman crashed & burned , as it should have .

Though i expected it...it is sad to not see one american car ad, but a few foreign car ads. Toyota and Hyundai were very smart to jump on the opportunity. rbj

I don't mind the Budweiser ads. Over the years, they've had some clever ones.

The worst this year? Its GOT to be Career Builder in a runaway. It was absolutely annoying.

At least the Big 3 didn't use bailout money for $3 million/30 second ads. I certainly wouldn't put it past the banks in this country to pull that kind of crap.

Had the procedes been in place they probably would have . I fully beleive they can get away with just about anything anymore .

Not a big 3 auto as you mentioned but Bank of America spent an estimated 10 million as part of the nfl experience.

The Colin O'Brien Bud Light commercial that was meant for Sweden was classic---I almost fell outta my bed I was laughing so freakin hard.........

I thought the NBC LMAO ad was one of the more humorous ones in a truly pathetic year for super bowl commercials.

i only saw the second half, any of the commercials i can recall seemed to have been showcasing the decline of the ad industry.

hammer to kill a fly type deals.

maybe porno ads are the way to go in the future.

they could't be anymore tasteless.

Or, did you need to be on meth to get the gist of them?

Here's one you'll really like, Pace. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=xoxxix0QQdU
"Budweiser commercial re: 9-11, aired only ONCE!
This is the commercial spot Budweiser produced after 9-11.
They only aired it once so as not to benefit financially from it - they just wanted to acknowledge the tragic event. This is so consistent with a company that always does things with a ton of class!!"

Agreed . . . . even the new Coke commercial replacing the great Mean Joe Greene and the "kid" was pathetic. Instead of thoughtfully tossing the fella a towel, some guy's shirt is ripped off and hurled his way.

Every one of the Pepsi ads were disgusting.

Madison Ave believes, these days, if it doesn't have violence, fire, a natural disaster, if someone doesn't get thrown through a window from 3 stories up, slapped around or attacked by a studio made creature--it's a no go.

This doesn't say much for the target audience.

Give me the Clydesdales--any of them especially last year's "Hank" trying out for the team. That's the best one Budweiser has ever created. Love it.

The ETrade baby new one--on his golf game, that was the only one I enjoyed last night. His yakking on his Blackberry has to be one of my all time favorites. Hilarious stuff. The throwing up one, nope--not so much.

I thought the Etrade baby throwing up after placing a stock trade was/is the most appropriate ad of 2008-2009 given the US economic climate and the stock market crash of 2008.I know they never intended it to come off that way, but every time I see it, I laugh my ass off (hello NBC) thinking how appropriate it is given today's markets.
