On Friday, my soft wager in the 3rd, Western Night, won on the off surface and paid $8.60. Among my contenders only selections, my 7th race $8 exacta key box clicked for $40.80 and my $36 trifecta wager returned $184.00. My 8th race $4 exacta box returned $38.60. So it goes…
Saturday's selections:
1st - Contenders Only - If Saucon Meadow (5) doesn't stop she looks like a winner with above par efforts in previous two. Jackie B. Good (2) may break swiftly and keep going with Ronnie Allen Jr. in the irons. Trifecta Double Key 2/5/4,7,8 and Exactas 5/2,4,7,8
2nd - Contenders Only - Tape Deck (7). Only horse with a par fig in last race. 3-3 ITM. Can he go another furlong? Canadian Jade (11). Cibelli's record with maidens is laudable and she has a high ITM % with Turf to Dirt and Route to Sprint types. Exacta Key Box 7/1,6,11 and Trifecta Double Key 2/7,11/1,6,11
3rd - Contenders Only - Berkeley Square (2). This lightly raced 5YO gelding was above par first time over and Gerry Bennett is great with fastbacks (24% Win, 70% ITM) and Sprint to Routes (18% Win and 35% ITM). Gun It (4) was above par in 8 of last 10, except for last two over the Tam surface. McCooey wins only 3% with fastbacks and was 0-17 with shortenups in the last two seasons here at Tampa. Exacta Key Box 2/1,5 and Trifectas 2,4/1,2,4,5/1,5
4th - A prime wager, Great Southern Lady (10). Early Pace was more than one second above par in first start. Best fig among today's starters in last. Shortens up today for red hot Max Ubide who is 11-15 ITM at Tam this season including 4 wins. Could have a big lead at the 2nd Call. Looks like a winner this afternoon. Win (10).
5th - Contenders Only - Exacta Key Box 5/1,2
6th - Contenders Only - Exacta Box 7,10 and Trifectas 7,10/All/7,10
7th - Contenders Only - Exacta Box 3,6 and Trifectas 1,6,7,8/3,6,7/3,6
