Prime Wager Results.9-26(35%) -$13.00 (9-3-5) (65% ITM)
Soft Wager Results....11-35(31%) -$7.60 (11-8-1) (57% ITM)

On Tuesday, I had no prime or soft wagers.

Among my contenders only selections:
My 2nd race $16 trifecta wager returned $272.60.
My 4th race $12 trifecta wager returned $239.80.
My 6th race $12 exacta box returned $14.20.
My 9th race $4 exacta box returned $10.00.

So it goes...

Note: In the last three seasons, the 2nd and 3rd choices in feature and Stakes races have had a positive ROI of $0.61 and $1.74 in straight exactas, respectively. To date this season, these 2nd and 3rd choice straight exactas are 0-25 in features and 0-7 in Stakes. Don’t miss the boat. Start playing (or at least considering) these straight exactas as they are overdue to start clicking.

Thursday’s selections:

1st – Contenders Only – My Belleman (4). Had best pace and speed and versus better at Churchill. Early Pace in last was well above par. Ryan is 64% ITM at odds <5-1. Jaunchon Jaunchon (2) comes back fast after close to par performance in last. Exacta box 2,4 and Trifecta 6/2,4/All

2nd – Contenders Only – E.F.F. Sher (7) should get another beneficial trip and shortens up today. Exacta Key Box 7/1,6 and Trifectas 4,5,7/4,5,7/1,6

3rd – Contenders Only – Proud Diligence (3) was outkicked in last by Unlimited Funds and was claimed by Greg Griffith who switches to his go to jockey Carlos Montalvo (11-16 ITM with Griffith’s charges). Unlimited Funds (6) is ITM about half the time and just hung versus Proud Diligence on Jan. 13th. Centeno gets the return ride. Exacta Box 3,6 and Trifectas 3,6,7/2,7,10/3,6,7

4th – Contenders Only – Tabouli (9). Despite variations in early pace, Tabouli gets to the wire with the best final figs. Was the beaten favorite in last. Another chance. Exacta Key Box 9/3,7 and Trifectas 9/1,4,6,8/3,7

5th – Contenders Only – Exacta Key Box 10/1,3,9 and Trifectas 5,10/5,10/1,3,9

6th – Contenders Only – CJ’s Nannie (7) the obvious choice (but not 7-5) off near par performance in last. Kaelin/RD Allen Jr team 5-7 ITM this season. The real story here is Fontana with two going. The one with the ML of 2-1, I Love to Say Yes (5) is 2-61 lifetime and 0-7 at Tampa and has leading rider Daniel Centeno in the irons. The other, 20-1 Fluffy’s Girl (6) is 61% ITM at Tampa and 40% ITM overall lifetime and goes Sprint-to-Route where Fontana has much of his success. On top of that, she raced at or above par in most of her races last season at TAM. Is this a repeat of the African Angel/Tigerglider coup that Fontana pulled off on Jan.13th. I don’t know, but I’m willing to bet on it. If there is a rider change from Oro to a leader, I’ll be that much more enthusiastic. Tax Day Slew (3) won in October and did not show us her best first time over. Is 50% ITM in 14 starts. Exacta Key Box 6/3,5,7 , Trifectas 3,7/5/3,6,7 and Trifectas 2,4,8/3,6,7/3,6,7

7th – A soft wager, Juicy Loots (1). Juicy broke like the first time starting zebra in the motion picture “Racing Stripes” in last, then worked her a** off to get into the race but to no avail. This was an honest to goodness aberration and should not be held against the filly who has been racing very well and put up a 78 in a par 66 two back. Comes back fast for Ronald Allen Sr. who doesn’t want her current form to go to waste. Photo Image (7) takes an honest drop, is usually above par and should be bet down like most Ness starters. Will not be easy to beat, but the price on Juicy Loots should be worth the gamble. Win, Exacta Key Box 1/3,4,7 and Trifectas 1/2,5,6,8/3,4,7

8th – Contenders Only – Classic Moon (2). Did surprisingly well at long odds in first two races in the 08-09 Tam season. Ex-Tampa regular William P White employs Wesley Henry Sr. (a leader at CRC last season) who got the most out of Classic Moon in the summer and fall to ride her this afternoon. Looks to be very well meant here. Right Flanker (5). If you love Tampa then you love the versatile Right Flanker who is always a crowd favorite and with good reason. Posted the highest figure of all the runners in this field with an 86 in last (today’s par is 92, but it doesn’t look like any of these can perform to that level). I’m steering clear of Best Westerner (6) as Ness was 2-18 off the long layoff last season. Exacta Box 2,5 and Trifectas 2,5/7,8/2,5,6,7,8

9th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 3,7 and Trifectas 3,7/4,6,10/3,4,6,7,10

10th – Contenders Only – Exacta Box 5,12 and Tifectas 1,4,6,9/5,12/5,12

Good luck and good racing!
