I just got an email from Brisnet about their software that analyzes 87 factors for each horse. Great.

How many factors is too many? I mean do we really need 87 factors analyzed per race? Does the term overkill apply at all?

SQ

I have analyzed all 87 bris factors plus more, using over 150,000 horses.
I have established the roi for every rank of factor, by odds, track, surface, distance, race type, surface, plus.

And I use evey one of them. I'm sure I could do w/o some of them, but I need a little help in figuring that out.

The study would make for quite a book.

Joe, that would be about 19,000 races then?

midnight.

Did a little "house cleaning". It turns out to be over 135,000 horses and appox 17,000 races."

You would think that it was a large sample, but when you start to break things down by odds, race types, tracks, distance, surface,
and track conditions, its not very large at all.

But it is worth talking about.

What if #88 is the "black box" factor?
