Sorry I missed your question. The biggest thing was the return to turf were this horses numbers were only slightly weaker than the favorites of this race. That with a big price meant value to me.

I saw that 4 day factor and took a look at the trainers numbers. He hassn't done well at much anything except bringing starters back on 10 days or less rest. Before this one he was 2 for his last 7 starters to do so with a nice ROI. The only other positive ROI I could find for the trainer was dirt-to-turf. Which was in play as well.

Take a look a one in the first at Mountaineer tonight;

#3 Runaway Widow

Her numbers are much weaker than I like, but the trainer is very good at the move he's making today. Dropping horses in class. This one was hiked way up in class in his last. His numbers before that were showing signs of moving forward. My instincts tell me this horse got a lot out of the last race. Add that to the fact she may have been progressing forwardly already and if she got a lot out of that last race (both are very debatable), she could be live and ready to fire tonight in what looks like a very soft spot. Which is one of the biggest keys here. The very light spot.

She's with out doubt very risky, but if she gets off at a juicy price, I think she might be worth a stab.

I also semi-like the #9 My Prima Donna. Had a huge debut effort way back, and some excuses since. Plus some races that have no excuse (ala the only semi-like statement) But this is a very soft spot and if he were to go off huge, I mean really huge (like 30 or 40/1 or more) I think I might throw a few bucks on her.

i gotta remember that outside spots at these small 4 turn harness tracks isnt so bad.

that last race was alot of money on that #2 and he was inside. should be placed in the 1st and 2nd spot and catch that #8 in third that was a $116 trifecta.
