JOE KELLEY'S PLAYS FOR AQUEDUCT JANUARY 25th, 2009

Had a profitable Saturday with our score in the ninth with BD's Phoenix to the tune of $ 11 plus. Sunday's card is solid . Pick your spots and when you are idle in a race, enjoy the running and take solace that you saved some money.

RACE 2: Carlos Martin wins at 17% with his second time starters. # 1A NAVEDANO broke slowly in her debut but didn't rush up and run out of gas. Rather Channing Hill rode at a steady pace and basically that race was a getting used to the track and extended conditioning workout. The bullet out of the gate since shows promise.

PLAY: Win bet on # 1A at 4/1 and better. Exacta box #6-1A.
_______

RACE 4: Remember the saying, "The eighteenth time is the charm" . :-))) # 1A TAME THE DICE is not our usual pick for a win spot but last out she showed improvement especially with her early numbers. # 4 MINI JO gets blinkers and Kenny Streicher is 17% with his second-time starters. Both should be nice prices.

PLAY: Win bets on # 1A and # 4 at 5/1 and up. Exacta 2, 7 over the # 1A and 4.
________

RACE 5: # 9 FORTY THIRD RECON has the lon early presser style and should be able to sit chilly off a fast pace. # 8 LEGENDARY MONARCH goes for Nick Zito who has only saddled 34 horses at the meet. He has his primo stock at other ovals. But this colt's best offering came at the 6F distance on a dry surface at Suffolk.

PLAY: Win bets on # 9 and # 8 at 4/1 and higher. Exacta # 1, 10 over the 8, 9.
_______

RACE 6: # 2 ROYALLY FORTUNATE takes a duck down in class and gains the services of Ramon D. Two positives. Parisella brings them back 17% with 90 days or more layoffs.

PLAY: Win bet on # 2 at 7/2 and higher.
_____

RACE 7: # 1A HANDSOME REWARD showed promise in his last start after running poor in previous 4 tilts. Gary Contessa gets 16% winners with third off the layoff.

PLAY: Win bet on # 1A at 5/1 and up.
