I have a few horses I like at a m/l price. Haven't looked at the card yet other than the surviver races.

Race 2 - #6 Truly Attractive - 10/1 -- #10 First Fancy - 9/2

Race 3 - #5 Nans Prayer - 8/1 -- #6 Extravagant Manner - 8/1

Race 4 - #3 Grandma Mary - 9/2

Race 5 - #10 Pretty Eyes - 12/1

Race 7 - #7 Cruzen Fora Bruzen - 15/1

Race 8 - #9 Idealist - 9/2

Race 9 - #3 Thom Cat - 15/1

Race 10 - #4 Hope to Reign A - 8/1 -- #7 You Tell Gordy - 15/1

Most are trainer angles that click at better than average. Not sure how most of them stack up within the fields.

My Survival Picks:

Race 6 - #1 Ms Maggie

Race 9 - #9 Arts Country

Race 10 - #9 Matts Pick

I like to suggest a play for tonite...Wed. 1-21-09..

In the 7th @ M1 #6 UTAH JACK was played by me, @4/1 in his last start....This horse is fast and fit, he does have a high turn of speed and can give you 2-fast 1/4's anytime after the first one.....He doesn't have the hight early speed, but that is his only deficiency, I think.......Last week on a GD-Track, and I believe it was still raining at the time, Goodell tried to leave hard with him and he tripped all over himself, and broke stride in that race.......He was so far back throughout the race, that he didn't enter into the screen until the just before the 3/4 mark, where he caught the field and was closing real, real good, and gaining all the way down the lane. getting 4th prize, and all this after trailing by some 24 lengths at the start.....His last 3/4 mile was timed in 1:23.3...Yikes !!!, ...With any kind of kinder trip this horse should be right there tonite.....I am betting.....!!

ONe caution tho, many times when a horse goes a monster trip like this, soreness (bounce) often pops up, and this may be the case with this one tonite....I'll say this tho, I watched that replay about 4x's, and at the end of that race, he appeared well within himself, and was still game to go on and was still gaining with every stride.......(and he was timed in last 3/4 time of 1:22.3 four-starts back, so he is used to going fast, meaning I don't believe that last race hurt him much and that was his first start of the year, so if that didn't hurt him, I can't see how last race would either)..

This guy was very lightly raced as a 3yo and is just now getting the hang of it all, and I believe I will leave him in my virtual stable for awhile, I think he is going to be that good and will do much better with each passing race.....we'll see......Go Utah Jack !!!

best,

Wow, that was a close one, and I was very afraid of that 10-horse, as he had some nice back-class vs. this kind...and he had a very powerful pace number 2-back, but it was those two at the wire, and glad he came out on top.....He is a very nice horse, and does bear watching, he will move on, how high?...He is still a bit green and we shall see.......:jump: ...no big-kash, ($5.20 &$4.00) but still a win is a win ...

best,
