Not for the timid, this race COULD go any horses' way, but
I think its fun to try organizing the Pr outcome.
Immediately --- w/out ANY hesitation --- ELIMINATE #2 & 6.

That still leaves: 1-3-4-5-7-8 ****

OK: Now what? Right now, with 20mins to post, #7 is the FAV.
What a mess --- this horse stinks & I wouldnt bet your money
on him, a 5yr old maiden with 27 losses!! Yes, the distance
is NP & he runs a good 1 every so often, but really, is there
nothing else to plunge on?

For me, its down to three plungers: #3, #5, #8.

Guys,

I’m not trying to sell any SW. I have been using the HSH for about a year and I think it is a good program. No, Dave isn’t paying me to say any of this. In fact, no one from HSH even knows that I’m posting this message and after I’m done they may be wishing I hadn’t. Before anyone starts asking me for detailed stats, I’ll tell you up front I don’t have any. I don’t do a very good job with record keeping. I’m a recreational player, playing mostly in the evening and occasionally on the weekend. I usually limit my play to Mnr in the evening 4 days a week and until this contest, I may play one track on the weekend. Besides Mnr, I don’t play any track consistently and I haven’t built up any large number statistical samples.

I don’t use a database and I don’t use spreadsheets to do any research. I do all of my limited research and record keeping by hand which partly explains why I limit my play so much. I just don’t have the time to keep up with the statistical analysis.

I’m going to make some posts here for a few tracks that I have been having some success. One day doesn’t mean anything, but I thought Keeneland was a very playable track with good prices. I had the winner in my top 3 selections in every race, which allowed me to hit every DD, Pick3, Pick 4 and Pick6 playing 3X3 tickets. I played all of these wagers except for the Pick6.

So what…I know what you’re thinking and you’re correct – one day is meaningless. If this were my only successful day like this I wouldn’t bother making this post. But these results, although not typical, aren’t all that uncommon either.

Anyway, these selections are just for fun. I’ll post them in the contest format, but I’ll probably wager using a 3X3 format or a variation of a multiple horse selection method. I’m not expecting to have the winner in the top 2 in every race, but I am expecting to have the winner in my top 3 or 4 contenders in the majority of the races.

One other caveat, I’m using a ‘system’ to make all of these selections. It only takes about 30 seconds per race or 5 minutes a card. It only took me about 15 minutes to come up with, these selections so I’m not saying I did anything ingenious, or that I did any brilliant handicapping. I’m not a professional player and I play primarily for recreation and to earn a modest income. Someone who wanted to invest some more time in the HSH program could do considerably better, but I don’t want to have to work that hard, so in most cases, I just push 4 buttons for each race and I’m good to go.

One other thing, I don’t analyze FTS well since I don’t use many conventional factors such as trainers, jockeys, breeding or workouts. I know many of you will find it hard to believe that the program can still do so well without using many of the more popular factors, but I mainly use speed, pace, class, and form factors. So if there is a race with many FTS, I would typically skip it, so beware that in these races, I have all but ignored them.

I also played SA today with good results. BTW, I did post these picks ahead of time at the HSH board if anyone wants to verify them.
