At Santa Anita the other day ... During the Betting - in the 3rd race :
There was a GRAPHIC on the TV Screen over at Phonebet. I quote
almost Verbatim :

" The amount of money in the Pick Six Pool - is now $1,300,000 "

That's fine..but here is what is ... NOT FINE :ThmbDown: :eek: :mad:
... The rest of the sign said ...........".A N D .. G R O W I N G " :bang:

( :eek: :blush: :mad: :mad: May I ask a question ? Doesn't the Pick Six pool CONTINUE TO GROW UP UNTIL THE TIME ..that the windows are closed ??? What am I missing here ????

Some of those marquees work on a timer and have nothing to do with the actual race itself. Also, I was told, when I started, that the pools aren't calculated till after the race and as been mentioned before, sometimes bets are taken after the start. That would screw up timng because nothing changes until they close the windows.

Just a thought. Not necessarily correct.

What is quoting with quotation marks "ALMOST verbatim? And, is it proper for ME to use 3 sets of quotation marks?!LOL!!
You are not missing anything- the screen was missiing good PR by missing the word "OVER"=
