View Full Version : Congressional Approval

I am so tired of hearing that the congress's approval rating is lower than George W. Churchill's.

I posted previous articles pointing to the difference between the dems and repug congressional approval ratings.

Yet the righties here still living in lala land, cling to their mythology.
Thoroughly debunked by a very tired nation this past election.

So although I no longer am interested in arguing with you gentlemen-and you know who you are-just thought I would shake your silly repug myths, again.

"As Gallup showed last month, congressional Democrats are significantly more esteemed than Bush-- and significantly more esteemed than their Republican colleagues in Congress. According to the latest Gallup Poll, 67% of Americans disapprove of Bush, while 69% disapprove of Republicans in the House and Senate and only 55% disapprove of Democrats in the House and Senate."

It looks like the repugs score LOWER than G.W.Churchill !!!

You guys are in denial. The election is the final proof.
I am no fan of incompetents, crooks or liars. Whether dems or repugs.
But to vainly hold on to your myth that the congress as a whole is less regarded than GW Churchill, is an exercise in republican talking points. Without the specific breakdown by party affiliation it is nonsense. With some drill down, it is apparent the philosophy of youse repugs, and so-called "conservatives" is no longer selling.

This election compared to 2004.......

You follow it up with a three-banger! :lol:Tom, sometimes I can't resist  But seriously how often have you seen me here since we trounced you on Nov 4th? I came across the recent Gallop study, and I just thought it had sufficient annoying content to rile up a few die hard Reaganites. Glad you are riled.

yeah, the guy who people believed would cut their taxes and reduce government spending won. Sounds a real repudiation of conservatism. :faint:

You live in a fantasy world Hcap. You can see things no deeper, perhaps even less deep, than my 4 year old.

And I especially like the - I'm not going to argue, well until I'm done arguing, then I won't argue anymore, well maybe.

Hey LS,

As presented to the electorate by the repugs/McCain Palin menagerie, the same old shit didn't fly.

Then again you probably believe the repugs are poised to make a comeback in 2012 with a Palin/Joe the Plumber team :D Keep dreaming.

Fact is, hcap, you do not know why people voted for Obama. As ls said, could be they voted for lower taxes and less spending.....a truly conservative platform. He will not deliver either, but that's another thread.

I submit by two years into his term, his AR will be under 40.

hcap
01-07-2009, 10:53 AM
It is obvious why.

Only the die hard Reagonite/Conservative/Repug/Free Market Worshipers have no clue.

If his approval drops below 40 it will be due to the pile of crap he inherits. Doubt he will leave in 2 terms anywhere near how bad your "war preznit" hero scored.

Yeah, as I said the Gallop poll showing the repug members of congress scoring lower than George W Churchill, which not one of you gentlemen have dealt with, was enough to pull me back in. For quite a while most of you would trot out the malarkey about the approval ratings of the "Democrat" congress whenever the dismal failure and AR of George W Churchill was mentioned.

So instead of dealing head on with that poll and others before it, and the reality of the country abandoning your tired bull, you guys post more nonsense. It figures, the "annoyingness" of what I posted brought out the dishonesty in you.

You certainly get a mouthful from polls Hcap.

The average Obama voter, in a Gallup poll, couldn't correctly answer which party controlled Congress, so please tell me how your poll has any meaning.

I realize you are at a disadvantage here, since your reasoning skills belong to those of a pre-K student, but try to do more than scratch the surface sometime.

Oh, good job on that no arguing thing. I admire your will power!

The average bush voter, lives in lala land posts bull on this board, and believes in the tooth fairy. You are making it up as you go along. You and your silly friends are discredited. Since Winstons' second term the repugs have gone downhill.
I wonder why?.

Your crap about the "Obama voter" is pure made up crap-and falls apart easily. The country began to reject the repugs and your boy Winston before Obama even came on the scene

Not the majority, but more than enough to make up the 8mil difference in the popular vote:

Poorly educated (couldn't pass a simple literacy test)
doesn't work
on some sort of assistance (not SS)
has children out of wedlock
was born out of wedlock
trashes the USA at every turn
doesn't understand economics 101
doesn't pay taxes - except at Mickey D's

You get the picture !

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Fallacy of many questions)

Many questions, also known as complex question, presupposition, loaded question, "trick question", or plurium interrogationum (Latin, "of many questions"), is an informal fallacy or logical fallacy.[1] It is committed when someone asks a question that presupposes something that has not been proven or accepted by all the people involved. This fallacy is often used rhetorically, so that the question limits direct replies to those that serve the questioner's agenda.[1] An example of this is the question "Are you still beating your wife?" Whether the respondent answers yes or no, he will admit to having a wife, and having beaten her at some time in the past. Thus, these facts are presupposed by the question, and in this case an entrapment, because it narrows the respondent to a single answer, and the fallacy of many questions has been committed.[1]

The sections of the country that rallied for the repugs are in the red.
Generally the trailing states in literacy, poverty and the poorly informed.
Obama gained in the areas leading in those same categories-blue.

These lefties are terrible sports. They want to take their ball and go home now after their mega-victory over 1,150-year-old John McCain. Way to go Dems. That was quite the David vs. Goliath you had going there.

h/cap, the Pravda media has beat down Bush for 8 yrs. That explains his low ratings. But Pravda loves the Dim Congress, yet their approval ratings are in the toilet. If they ragged on the dims like the rag on the Repubs, then they'd have minus ratings. so, you're comparing bananas and avocados.
