Dover R8............471 no
Meadows R6..........425 ..............Exacta $35.80
Pompano R7..........542 no
Win Bets $6 loss
Exactas $36 in, $36 back
I'm making some changes to the way I keep score on my picks here. In the past I've been saying..
"ML>7, Betting Win, Str Tri, and Exacta 3 Horse Box"
and because of that sentence, I actually do make those bets, (that's just me, if I post it I play it.)
However, it's not the way I play all my other bets, which is straight win, exacta, trifecta.. no boxing or part wheels.
After years of record keeping, one thing's for sure, when you buy a 3box ticket you just bought 5 losers. (forget Dead heats)
The increased hit frequency never makes up for those losers.
I'm now using Youbet's "upload wagers" to their new wager pad, (it's great if you make a lot of bets like I do)
The Excel spreadsheet formats the race picks... saves them to a small text file and the file gets sent to Youbet.. a real time saver. But sticking in a few extra box bets isn't worth it when it goes against my "core beliefs"
I've also made some changes to my picker program, (I always update lifetime Driver and Trainer stats and redo Post Bias, but I'm also changing the way it handles trailer's probable call at the half to more accurately allow for the horse in front.
I'm in the process of re-running all 2005-2008 races, necessary to make sure I haven't screwed something up, so far Wins and Exactas show improvement, trifectas are worse.
With that in mind, here's 4 blind longshots for tonight you might want to check out..
