Sara is a grandma - "Tripp" was born recently.
No truth to the rumor that Sara wanted to name him "Joe the Baby." :D

In other Palin news, seems that the Baby-Daddy of Sarah Palin's granddaughter just quit his job at an Alaska oilfield. Seems he was not qualified. Apparently, you need a High School diploma to qualify for the job he somehow got (without Sarah Palin's help  ).

maybe it had something to do with the 300k he just got paid for the pictures of his kid? What the hell is the problem with her helping him get the job? I am sure that never happens anywhere else?

Hell, if I was her I would now appoint him commander of the State police

He got $300,000.00 for a picture of the kid? Amazing. If so, he should be named head of the Dept of Treasury.

something like 80 percent of hirings are based on nepitism and/or knowing someone. It happens everywhere. Obama's wife got a big raise once Barry became a senator, she was making like 300k a year.

Why would anyone be upset if Palin's daughters baby daddy got a job because his mama in law knows somebody.

Gotta agree with Ralphie

I'm not a Palin fan and don't believe she is qualified to hold higher office. Come on. The woman didn't know that Africa was a continent and couldn't name a single newspaper. Palin hung herself in that Couric interview without any help from the liberal media.
Still, to slam her for perhaps pulling a string to get her deadbeat son- in -law a job amounts to petty criticism. No politician could stand up to that kind of scrutiny.

just so you know, the Africa as a continent thing has been debunked by those who were in the room during that so called "slip up" and the person who reported it has backtracked on that. He even apologized to Palin (Carl Cameron won't admit it, but he did according to multiple sources) try this story for more insight.

John McCain admits he knows who the real person is that caused the Africa uproar, and he has "spoken to them" but he won't reveal the person.

It's still hard to watch her interviewed by Couric and come away not convinced that Palin lacks the mind and knowledge to serve as our president.
And the African "slip" wasn't the only instance leaked by her own party of Palin coming off like a nitwit. Mean-spirited or not, there is probably some truth in such depictions of her.

But you can listen that fool Biden and feel warm and fuzzy???
If there was ever a good reason to pray for Barak every night it is Joe Biden!

It's funny Mark, because the conservatives think that the left talks and portrays Barry Obama as a diety, yet they sure wont let anything bad said about their precious Palin.

I actually liked Palin because she seemed so everyday and normal. She didnt have the slick politician look or speech to her. But her ideals are a little far right for my taste.

What far right ideals don't you like? Low taxes? Fighting terrorists? What?
Barack once said he'd campaigned in all 57 states. I saw that clip and he looked tired and addled.
Palin has exec exp. Obama mostly voted present when he was senator.
Biden thght we had TV in 1929. I think that's a bigger gaffe than Palin ever made but that gets swept under the rug. In 4 yrs this country will be foaming at the mouth to vote for a Republican. You can't spend your way out of a reccession. the country wil realize that in short time.

Good soundbite, but if we take looks, charisma, and our own ideals out of the equation, you can't possibly be saying that Palin's grasp of foreign affairs and how our government works equals Biden's. Perhaps if we treated political office more like a job and less like an adventure, America would be in better shape. Don't get me wrong, liberal or not, I still harbor grave concerns about our president-elect's actual experience and credentials. To me, Palin and Obama are simply flip-sides of the same coin, two super-ambitious politicians with underwhelming resumes who nonetheless parlayed personal magnetism into national prominence. To their detriment, American voters now somehow equate a candidate's lack of qualifications with the potential for "refreshing" change.

Here's the deal....Palin would be coming from the right direction and have the right team behind her. Biden is a fool, a socialist, and he has a team of proven losers and quitters behind him. No way Biden holds a candle to Palin. No way you support national security and have Dingy Harry on yourside.

But don't take my word for it......the fools on the Hill will provide many examples in the coming years. ;)

So, in other words, Palin is qualified because she shares your ideology.

actually i like alot of the conservative platforms, especially less government, low taxes, fighting terrorists.

I just tend to differ with some of their social stances, abortion, gay marriage and some other stuff.

But right now, fighting terrorists and the economy are a first priority, so my social stances had to take a back seat for this past election.

Yes......that is why I supported Bush in 2000. I knew he would have the right team in place if the worst happened, which it did. I posted that here several times. One person doesn't run the country - the team is what is important. Sara would have a good team, Obama has a horrible team. Clinton's team allowed attack after attack on us, Bush's team stopped them after 9-11.
If Cheney were to run, he would get my vote, no hesitation.

So, yes, before you ask, I do not consider Obama qualified at all. Far LESS than Sara, for sure. ;)

The scariest part about Biden's gaffe is that he thought FDR went on TV in 1929.......not that there was TV in 1929. FDR was not President until 1933.......etc.

If Palin had said this, she would have been roasted for weeks.......... ......

I think thinking there was TV in 1929 a bit worse than not knowing who the Pres was. But it certainly was a double gaffe. And you didn't see SNL make fun of dat didja?

jbballs, well we certainly disagree about abortion. We all started out as a fetus you know. But Gay Marriage? Show me one top level Dem that isn't gay, that blves in gay marriage.
And some other stuff, a bit ambiguous isn't it? Spell it out, man!
