On Sunday, my prime wager in the 2nd, Banyan Tree was second best. Ditto for my soft wager in the 10th, Rush to Dinner. My soft wager in the 6th, Summer Party Girl scratched. For the second time this season, my contenders only wagers came up empty. So it goes...
Tuesday's Selections:
1st - Contenders Only - Trifectas 8/4,6/4,6 and 8/7/4,6 and DD 8/8,10
2nd - Contenders Only - Exacta Box 8,10 and Trifectas 8,10/3,12/8,10
3rd - A soft wager, Silver Jorge (3). Was well placed and gave way in last on 12/17 at TAM. Shortens up today. Best record of the bunch. Broke maiden in June at the distance and has raced forwardly since. Gets it done today against a sub-par field. Win (3) and Trifectas 3/1,9/1,9.
4th - Contenders Only - Trifectas 5/1/3,8
5th - Contenders Only - Win 10 and Trifectas 10/3,4,9/3,4,9
6th - Contenders Only - Exacta Box 1,4 and Trifectas 1,4/1,4/3,7
7th - A prime wager, Snuck in the Back (6). Great effort in last, dueling with two and then gamely trying to hold off the late runner. A decent trip assures victory today. Win, Exacta Key Box 6/3,7 and Trifectas 6/2,4/3,7
8th - Contenders Only - Exacta Box 2,8 and Trifectas 2,8/1,3,5/2,8
9th - A prime wager, Forest Grinder (5). Above par early speed puts away all comers this afternoon. Weakened in mid-stretch after dueling throughout in last. Shortens up 1/16th today.
