JOE KELLEY'S PLAYS FOR AQUEDUCT JANUARY 2ND, 2009
Winning day for us and hope you were able to enjoy one too with our selection of LILLY OF PARADISE in the 6th race at the Big A to the tune of $ 29.60. Today's card is solid and we are going to try to beat some vulnerable and false faves.
RACE 1: In the claiming races 20K and below, we always look for a horse which has value as usually these horses are so up and down in their form that they can pop a winning effort off some duds. # 3 HAWKINSVILLE is 3 for 6 at the distance and Greg DiPrima wins 21% first off the claim. # 6 GREELEY'S LEGACY is getting revived by the talented Charlton Baker. Can improve off last at Finger Lakes.
PLAY: Win bets on # 3 and # 6 at 4/1 and up.

RACE 2: # #5 STRAIGHT AND NARROW goes first time for Gary Contessa and dips into the claiming ranks for the first time. Should be suited for this level and ships in from Finger Lakes. # 7 FIRSTTODANCE comes off a maiden claiming win and has early speed. Mike Hushion is 19% with horses coming off victories.

RACE 3: # 6 DRIFT TO THE LEAD threw in a clunker last on and now tries to rectify. Look in the past performances to see that she had a a bad race Apr. 12th and came back to win a month later. # 7 HERE COMES RITA is improving and the outside post has been doing fairly well as of late.
PLAY: Win bets on # 6 and # 7 at odds of 4/1 and up. Exacta # 1 over the 6, 7.
