Few people asked me if I saw that announcement today. It had been in the Local Papers for a few weeks that they were thinking about it. Few Factors....But the #1

Rockingham going To harness this summer. Suffolk is already having trouble keeping Horse's on the grounds. With the Rock summer meet canceled they need to carry the Horsemen this summer (or risk losing them for good). They extended thier meet to Aug 12th. The $600,000 purse money and All the Promotion money will be used to keep Horses on the grounds.

Around May or June.....Your going to start hearing "Suffolk may close"................and those rumors will not be far from the truth.

The only thing that will save Sufferin' Downs is the slots, though I hate to see things come to that, 'cause I hate the slots.

It's the sad realities of racing today: operating costs too high, profits too low. And, Connecticut casinos are sucking all the money out of Massachusetts.

So much for post-war leadership in the State legislature in Boston.

They always played to the unions and the minorities, and too hell with business.

Taxachusetts has been underwater for 30 years. The computer business went to low-tax New Hampshire, and the industrial plants went to the South- and to Asia.

I hope the leadership in Massachusetts wakes up one day, but it won't be while they have Senators such as "Have another bourbon Ted" and "John-I'm-Totally-Out-Of-It Kerry".

All the best,

Jaguar

To quote Jaguar ... They always played to the unions and the minorities

I'm sure the minorities in Massachusetts will be pleased to hear how good they have it!

Massachusetts under the water? Like Most States it has a Budget shortfall this year. But other than that. Annually Massachusetts is in the top 5 of

Per Captia Income
Housing starts and Prices
Employment Rate

Our Education system...at the High school, Undergraduate and Graduate levels. May be the best in the world.

Our Healthcare system is at the same level

By most Standards...The Massachusetts quality of life is the envy of the majority of States.

And Ted Kennedy and John Kerry are in the US Senate. Not the State Senate. Niether have anything to do with Approving slots at Suffolk.
