View Full Version : Frozen Turf?
I heard SA took all the races off turf today because the course was frozen solid today.
My take on it, so what? Pro Ride plays like turf, so I won't change any opinions.

Frozen turf sounds like a first in Southern Cal.
But at Golden Gate they solved the problem by warming the grass with a large flock of ducks. Unfortunately, in the spring they had a heck of a problem with
quackgrass.;)

Where Tom is the weather is pretty bad. Lake effect snow means 10" or more. Hopefully Tom thaws out before the Santa Anita meet ends.
That is what they said on HRTV - turf course frozen.
Around here, 10" is flurries.;)

Yeah, spring flurries.
Just talked to the wife's family in northern Ontario ... the smallest amount of snow that anyone guessed they had was 4 feet.
Here in Hilton Head, SC it was 75 and sunny. Awwww ;)

In sunny Florida at the OBS in Ocala, a little too warm ,a high of 84.
But don't worry I will be back into the snow before long, as I will be heading to western NY, after the New Year comes.

Too bad the turf wasn't playable today.
The races weren't all that they were quacked up to be.
