Picks for Hollywood Park Sunday
R1 #1 Silver Sword-Ran well in graded company in last. Versatile runner should be well placed early.
R2 #5 Tokay-Ran a decent one breaking his maiden, winning a pressured race with a good fig. Looking for him to lay off the pace today.
R3 #3 Scarbourough Fair-This one was well regarded in her initial 2 starts. Had excuses in both runs, and the layoff after those efforts is understandable. Returns with some nice drills and gets Flores today.
R4 #1 Cardinal Zin-Tries turf again after the prep. He laid up after his first try on the grass, so I can excuse the poor effort as he may have had a physical problem. Notable drill since his prep.
R5 #3 Moonlit Habit-Drops to competitve level after 2 excusably poor looking efforts. Lowly connections ensure that the price will be decent here.
R6 #5 Acclamation-Gets a new jock for turf try. Dam has thrown a couple of turf winners. Even tries in two lifetime sprints, should like the added distance.
R7 #1 Brinson-Gets a great pace setup today. Nice drill since last, gets Espinoza today. Bump up in class will probably ensure a good price.
R8 #6 Gotta Have Her-She has a win over the Hollywood turf. Gets regular rider Migliore back today. She seems to fire her best shots fresh.
R9 #4 Captain Charisma-The lead seems to be up there for the taking, and this one showed big speed last out before the freshening. Returns with a drop and some decent drills. Low profile trainer/jock will probably ensure the price here.
