I betcha if she had kids or a husband and accidentally shot one of them while killing this rapist, the story would be headline news almost everywhere.

It might be worth noting that she couldn't call 911 when the power was cut off. If she had a "real" phone, as opposed to the portable cordless models, she would have been able to make a call. We maintain one old-fashioned phone in our home for this very reason.

And, good for her. She deserves a medal.
