If you are not familiar with Gladwell's works, "The Tipping Point" and "Blink", you should be because I believe there are lessons that can be applied to handicapping.

His newest book will be discussed on BookTV (CSPAN2). Here's (http://www.booktv.org/schedule.aspx) a link the the full schedule. Gladwell's program is scheduled to air on Saturday at 7:00 P.M.

I recommend all three books: Tipping Point, Blink, Outliers

I bought Outliers on Thanksgiving weekend -- read it in one sitting.

There is a horse racing handicapping takeaway. Just extrapolate the discussion on Canadian youth hockey and Czech youth soccer to juvenile racing.

After having watched the recording from yesterday's airing of the lecture, I started to wonder if, in a small way, a part of the ADW and signal fiasco is not a "cultural" problem like the airline crashes and the contributing problems that cause them as Malcolm discusses.

I just bought Tipping Point and am getting Outliers for Christmas. Blink was very good.

Will the TV program be repeated that you know of?

Some of them are posted on the web site for streaming. I looked for this one but did not find it. They will repeat broadcasts. Best thing to do is to sign up for an email alert and to check the web site for the entire schedule for each weekend.
