I was catching up on Horsey news and noticed that not only did Joel Rosario win 5 races the other day at HOL, he flew to Puerto Rico and won a 300k Stake on Sunday. This on top of the Native Diver GRIII at HOL as part of his five winners.

Some week?! Congrats to him and Vic!

A dream weekend. The entire team contributed different parts to the success. My girlfriend Tina, my assistant George O, Joels girlfriend Brianna and of course the star Super Mario Rosario!

Back at it Wed. at HP.

Thanks for all the props!!!

Now that’s dedication…on Hollywood dark days Vic is drumming up mounts walking a beat in Puerto Rico. :jump:

Seriously Vic; I know its part of being professional, but do you ever find yourself paying a little more attention to Joel’s mounts? It’s probably just me; but I would swear you’re a little more reserved if anything with his wins / possibly just subconsciously to insure impartiality.

BTW: Not that it should be an issue if you blew a lung rooting him home. I think it would be a riot if you screamed out he was fouled like so many do each day.

So would I. Unfortunately, the powers-that-be might not find it amusing, and Vic probably likes his job.

I have a similar observation. I wondered how Vic would distribute his enthusiasm during the race when he has vested interest. I have come to the conclusion that he is quite professional and I continue to enjoy hearing his calls.

An aside: one of my other favorite race callers, Trevor, has the signature call "they would have to sprout wings..."
I was watching the Delta Down races friday night and heard Don call a race where he said "...has sprouted wings." Caught me up and made me laugh.
