I was just curious, what is the difference between 2100 and 2700 RAM?

Thanks for the response, but I was actually looking for the actual performance difference between the 2, not the price.

I was curious of the benefits or difference of one over the other.

PC 2100 DDR266
DDR RAM running compatible with running at 266MHz FSB
Theortectical transfer rate of 2.1 Gigabyte per second

PC 2700 DDR333
DDR RAM running compatible with running at 333MHz FSB
Theortectical transfer rate of 2.7Gigabyte per second

The big difference is that the 2700 won't slow down a front side bus of 333. If you put 2700 in a Motherboard that will only run 266 FSB, you are wasting ram speed. Some boards won't even work with it. The basic difference is you are running a faster FSB with one than the other. All things being equal, (right board, right ram etc) the specs above apply.
