Congratulations to Tommy Castillo for winning the Suncoast Handicapping Contest. Tommy utilizes HTR software and also finished second in the MGM contest. Although I don't use this software, some of you may want to look at the demo.
Not sure of the direct url, but I generally get there by accessing from HDW's site at www.horsedata.com.
Also noted on Thorograph's site that a rags sheet user finished second and third.
By the way, how did any of the other software fair if you don't mind sharing.

Hdcper,
I don't want to stray off topic here, but thought I'd put my .02 cents worth here....
Tommy Castillo (tournament winner) was mentioned on the Race Day Las Vegas show today. Siraco said (and i hope i didn't misunderstand him) that Castillo has only been handicapping for 5 years; Since LS started.
I've known some folks that have been in racing for 20+ years that have never had a winning year and then you have others (like Castillo) that win almost instantly. Why do some of you folks think that is? Some of the new winning players use s/w programs, others don't use any program at all.
Siraco said on the show that he had an article about Castillo in today's LV Sun. I went to the site and the article isn't up yet. May want to check it out when the article is up. S/b an interesting read.
Anyhow, congrats to (fellow Dallas/ Ft Worth Metroplex-er) Tommy!

Yeop, just 5 years. I’ve been fortunate enough to sit with Tommy at 3 tournaments. True, he has only been capping for about 5 years. He does work very hard and is always testing new angles and looking for profit. A very nice and humble man.
Entertainment newwwws..... for yew! (flashlight, please)
Here's the link to Siraco's article....

GR1, I'm sure Norm and your buddies already shouted a "herd of Georgio's" at Castillo (yyyeeeeeop!).
Tournaments aren't my cup of tea, but I always like seeing people that work their ass off to get their just rewards.

Do you know if he has an e-mail address or a way to contact him?
Just would like to ask him some questions about handicapping
(his angles, methonds, etc) to pick his brain to improve myself...
the board helps a lot but would like to get in contact with him.
