From what I've read here, you will be very limited. How about buying a cheap PC, or even a used one. If that's all you use it for it doesn't have to be very powerful. Don't know what you mean by "Parallels".

Built totally with FilemakerPro, which runs the same on Windows or Macs; no middleware needed.

The only dedicated Mac software I know of is All in One.
That said, you can run Parallels in Coherence Mode, which will give you both operating systems at the same time, so you don't have to compromise yourself with software made for Windows - you can still run your Mac applications at the same time.
I use Black Magic on a MacBook Pro, using Parallels software. I have Black Magic open on the Parallels virtual machine (Windows), while making bets and/or watching race video in Firefox within the Mac OS at the same time. It takes a few extra seconds to start up Parallels when I boot up the computer, but other than that, I don't find it to be much of an inconvenience at all. Just my experience - your viewpoint may vary.
To note, I'm writing this reply in Firefox in the Mac OS, while I have Black Magic open in the Windows environment simultaneously. It's not bad at all - kinda cool, actually :)
Handicapping OS at HDW is a very nice web based product that can be used on Mac OS
