Naval Operation over with Hugo. Sounds pretty serious according to the AP.
It was a major symbolic show of military and diplomatic force as Russia moves to underscore its international heft amid intense frustration with Washington over a European-based missile shield and over the war in Georgia.
Left out of the AP story was found:
U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack joked to reporters in Washington:
"Are they accompanied by tugboats this time?"
