End of a great run. I really did hope they'd give him one more race....on dirt, and he'd retire off a win...but, they know what they are doing, and no doubt did talk about one more race...it's kind of a shame they won't race him one more time because there won't be a race rich enough to bother with, just finding one that he'd win and give everyone one more shot at seeing this outstanding animal run would have been a gift. Oh,well.
Wonder if Jackson still tries to buy out that last 20%? Wonder if Curlin will stand at Stonerside...I would bet other farms are putting up some great deals to stand him...but there isn't one good reason why he shouldn't stay at Stonerside. At any rate, I can't imagine Curlin being anything but an outstanding stallion.

Good luck  in your new career, Curlin...you gave everyone a hell of a ride!!

If Jess Jackson really is considering one more race, how about The Cigar Mile? It's a Grade 1 race on conventional dirt, plus it's a race named after the horse whose record he broke. Not to mention it would give Curlin a rare distinction of winning Grade 1 races on all three NYRA tracks in the same year.

It sounds like Jackson is NOT considering another race...but the Cigar Mile would be the PERFECT spot...

Hey, Mr. Jackson..how about it...one more race???

Jay Privman's article at www.drf.com (http://www.drf.com) mentions Mr. Jackson might consider one more race for Curlin if the purse was acceptable.
